Why do you hate blogger?

In ten words or less, or more.

I hate it because it always gets cantankerous whenever I really really really want to post something in a hurry.

Edit:
Finally, I got to add the "t" to cantankerous.

Letter!!!!!!

I opened my mailbox Saturday night and look what I pulled out! Immediately I called the Bomb Squad- and once that was settled- I settled down to open the RWBS Chain letter!

What fun!

An amazing read!

Who will get it next???

Hmmmmm.....
I've decided I will send the letter to the person who posts the best answer to this question......

Name three things- other than clothing- in your top dresser drawer....

I will mail the letter to the Roomie who I feel exposed themselves in the most honest and creative way!

Good Luck!

those of you who have gotten the letter already are free to join it!

Thanks for the lovely bookmark Nanntz!!!!

It's Saturday, I can't help it

Ten reasons why I am making a post.

1. To get those god awful easter posts further down the page.
2. I can't dance.
3. It's about time, I guess.
4. It's Saturday, I can't help it
5. Did I mention the god awful easter posts?
6. Reason, reason, I don't need no stinkin' reason.
7. I wonder where the RW...BS chain letter is, he asks knowingly.
8. When's the next holiday, anyway?
9. I just saw some pigs fly.
10. The voices, the voices, the voices.

Fricka fracka fracka

Scanner located. Not plugged in to any computer. Computer located. No scanner software. Scanner good only as a boat anchor. No scan of outgoing letter. No way to understand how an internet company can be so NON techno! No matter. Letter in outgoing box. Fat. Pretty. Headed to the next roomie.

Seacrest out!

Arrrr!!!

Don't tell me the parrot on my shoulder looks like a penguin... WE DON'T LIKE TO HEAR THAT!!! ARRR!!!

So I received AmyJo's eye-patch today (along with a really cool sticker and Leroy Neiman postcards) and I feel like it was Xmas in June in February in March! Plus, AmyJo seems to be some sort of authority here in Germany, because the German customs office marked the letter that it is an "official letter" and therewith doesn't need to be checked by German customs.

Anyway, THANK YOU AmyJo - a little gift for you will be send on its way soon.

OK, I'm off doing, umm, pirate stuff now. Arrrr!!!

still no internet.. run off my feet at work, 7.30 meeting tomorow morning. Winter (well autumn) has trully arrived, gale force winds and showers for the next week. Have a v. fluffy (angora) pink zip up cardigan on... look like an easter bunny, but am warm. Feel miserable becuase of the weather and because of horrible non existent social/love life. Am also v. trully fat.

Love from Ms. B. Jones.

So ...

How come only Nancy, Cori, Sandra, and I have done anything in here the last couple of days?

I got the letter!

The letter was in my mailbox last night. Oh, joy! And so beautifully decorated by the careful and loving hand of Father Boz. It is ready to wing on its way today....but to whom? Hmmmm....so many choices.

Earthquake in Japan

Cori emailed me last night about a 7.0 earthquake in Japan. I hadn't heard anything about it so I surfed the different cable news channels, but there was nothing, not even on the news crawls at the bottom of the screen. It took a Google news search to find out anything about it.
Anyway, the quake wasn't anywhere near where AmyJo was (Okinawa) or where she was heading (Kyoto) on Saturday.
Further update on AmyJo, she should be home next Saturday unless her threats of hari-kari weren't in jest like I thought they were.

Cooler than Hasselhoff

With hair like spun gold.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I will stop at nothing
to move the pictures
of David Hasselhoff
out of view
of my beloved
zonkboard.

A woman walks into a bar with a DVD of the West Wing, The First Year, and a monkey.
She orders a margarita
As the bartender brings the woman her drink he asks
"Hey, what's your name?"
The woman answers
"Belle"

No. Nooo. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I missed Saint Patrick's day! And I had the perfect Saint Patrick's day post in mind, oh yes, oh yes, funny and a little sexy, oh yes. It even included this wonderful picture of the Hoff:

Of course I can't post that anymore today. That would be stupid. Seems like I have to wait one year to post this picture:

Oh well, I'll note it in my 2006 calendar. "Post a...

... Hasselhoff pic on Saint Patrick's day.". Noted. Guess we'll just have to wait.

This sucks

I guess I'm the only one excited that the rw ... bs chain letter is on it's way.

The RW ... BS chain letter is on it's way!!!

Well, it's on it's way around East Tawas because the mail man just picked it up and he has to finish the rest of his appointed rounds before he heads back to the post office, and then it will really be on it's way.
So you'd better bookmark this post for future reference because it is going to take at least two months for the letter to go full cycle.
You know what the cool part is?
All the rules and stuff that I laid out now mean nothing, because it is out of my hands, and the letter has taken on a life of it's own, only answering to the whims of whoever holds it in their hand at any give time.
I am bristling with excitement.

Bite me, I'm Irish

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!!!

The letter is set to go ...

But to whom???

Help

They are making me work. At my job. Actually work. It's not my fault! I told them I needed to be posting to blogs. They don't care. They mumbled something about "doing the work I get paid to do." What does it mean? What are they talking about? Didn't they just hire me so I could have good internet access and a quiet cubicle to blog in? I mean, in which to blog?
I am leaving a trail of bread crumbs. If you don't hear from me, please come in and get me.

The RW ... BS chain letter, let's get it on!!!

A repost of the original outline for the chain letter and a few added extra thoughts.

I thought for the next group activity a form of chain letter would be cool.
It is strictly voluntary, and here is how it would work.
It would start out with me.
I would write a few lines, maybe add a little artwork, a poem, stickers, whatever.
There would be a list of those taking part. I would send it to one of the names on the list.
When that person received the letter they would cross their name off the list, add a few lines, a little artwork, a poem, stickers, whatever. They would then mail it someone else on the list, it would not have to be the next person on the list, just anyone they wanted to send it to.
That person would then cross their name off the list ... etc, etc, etc.
This would continue until the last person received the letter. When they had written their few lines, did their artwork, wrote their poem, added their stickers, whatever they would mail the letter back to me. I would scan it, and post it, and if anyone were interested we could have a drawing or whatever and I would send the winner the original letter for them to keep forever and ever and ever.
I thought this would be a cool idea, because it would only cost the price of a stamp, which would make it a lot easier on our German and Australian house members, and it would just take a few minutes to complete.
If you didn't know the mailing address of the person you were sending the letter to, you could email me for their address.

Additions
1. Participation by your spouse, your children or child, or your sig other is encouraged.
2. I thought it would be cool if when you sent your letter out you put a little something in it as a little keepsake for the person you were sending it too. Nothing big, nothing you bought, just something laying around your office, like a business card, a paper clip, or if you were at home, I don't know, maybe something you found under the cushion of the couch. Nothing that would add any weight to the letter, just a little something.
3. Jonnie can't send his letter to Sandra, and Sandra can't send her letter to Jonnie, that would be just too cute, and I still don't know how they wound up as each others baby jesus for XIJIF.

Anyway, that's it.
I will be sending the letter out tonight, and believe it or not, I still don't know who I am going to send it to, I've changed my mind at least for times.

UPDATE
Dvl asks ...
wait, is it a chain letter or is it more like a journal that we're mailing around to each other to fill a page or two each with our own stuff before sending it off?
with love,
troublemaker

I reply ...
It's one letter that you add your stuff on to and then forward it.
I've started it off with three pages of stationary, that you can write on both sides of, and if more paper is needed, just add it.
with exasperation
problem solver

OH YEAH

When you receive the letter make a post about it, scan it, photograph it, audioblog it, whatever, just don't tell who you are sending it to, but you can tell who you received it from.
And are we getting too many rules???
LET'S ROCK
I love to talk like that.

Deluxe Bobble Pen

Look at this loot from Boz!!

That hulk bobblehead's feet come off to reveal a pen!
For writing on that wall of post-it notes.

And sure enough, Elmer's Brain Eraser did not even phase the Hulk ink, so I think it is genuine.

Thanks, Boz!!

"The Adventures of a Craft Store Whore"

I wanted to share with you roomies some of the things I make! When I’m not online writing... I’m off line getting messy and experimenting with crafty ideas. If I won the lottery I’d most definitely blow all my money at a hardware store or buying arts and craft supplies.

Earrings2

These earrings are actually shrinky dinks! I found great images online and after tweaking the colors in photoshop I printed them on plastic sheets and baked them in my oven. (Sometimes I tell people I baked them in a "Kiln" cause it sounds more fancy! Wink!) Afterward I attach beads and sterling silver findings with sterling silver wire. (Click on the images to see them closer) You can even use this process to make earrings with your own photos on them. It’s really easy!

necklace

These are necklaces I make from antique beads, semi-precious stones, and Swarovski crystals. I wire wrap them in sterling silver to make a unique sparkly chain. I just recently got a gig doing a wedding. I made 6 purple necklaces with matching purple earrings for a Rocker Bride and her Rocker Bridesmaids. It was a lot of fun! (Click photo for closer image.)

Last day to sign up for the RW ... BS chain letter

Nine people have signed up, leaving only drew, marci, and madmathias.
Dvl will talk to drew and persuade him to sign on, so that will leave only marci and mad, but that's ok, because if they sign up, they sign up, and if they don't, they don't, and we'll still love like them a whole lot, no matter what they do, because this is the RW ... BS, where we always put the RW before the BS, and we rule, or rock, or own, or whatever it is you young people do now days.

Oh yeah, I'd like to get the letter in the mail by tomorrow night.

AmyJo posting from Okinawa with help from Boz

Slogans from the "Smoking Room" in the Osaka Kansei airport.

What I love about the Japanese ethos--these were my first sign that I was truly in Japan. These are all anti-smoking slogans, but they read like haiku. Also the emphasis is on cooperation with others, and community, and they say nothing about the individual's health and make no overt moral assumptions about smokers. Check it out:

"Inhaled. Burned. Thrown away.
If it were anything but a cigarette, it would be crying."

"When I looked back I realized
I was colliding with the person behind me
even though we weren't touching."

"A man waiting on a girl. Cigarette butts piled up
around him. It was a common scene in dramas from the Showa era."

"A person was waving at me.
He was waving away my smoke."

"I was passing through a crowd
carrying a flame.
But that's best left to an Olympic runner."

"Poster saying"don't litter with cigarette butts" are like children
scolding adults with paint brushes."

"Where does the smoke go?
Only the person producing it
is unconcerned."

My mom is yelling and watching sumo. Her favorite wrestler just made a good move and she screamed like a football fan. More when I am less jetlagged.
Thinking of you all (but esp Boz).
XOXOXOXO
AmyJo

happy S&BJ day

because sharing is caring

March 14th is now officially "Steak and Blowjob Day". Simple, effective and self explanatory, this holiday has been created so you ladies finally have a day to show your man how much you care for him. Don't send cards, or flowers, and they'll be no special nights on the town; the name of the holiday explains it all, just a steak and a BJ.

The RW ... BS Chain Letter ... Sort Of

I thought for the next group activity a form of chain letter would be cool.

If you didn't know the mailing address of the person you were sending the letter to, you could email me for their address.
That's the basics. If you are interested let me know. Since AmyJo is on vacation for the next two weeks I told her about this last Friday, and she thought it was a great idea. So that means that AmyJo and I are already in on it, and damn hasn't this post gone on and on and on.
Ok, ok, ok, just let me know if you want to participate!!!
Suggestions are also welcome.
Ok, that's really it, I'm finished.

Couple of announcements

I'll be going out in awhile so before I forget I would like to mention two things.
First: Today or tomorrow, depending on where you live, is Rosa la Posa's birthday!!!
Ok, it's on Sunday which is tomorrow in the states, but it is already Sunday in Australia, and I haven't the slightest idea of what day it is in Germany, so since it is already rosa's birthday wherever she is, I guess she can already have her cake and eat it too, mmmmmmm cake.
Second: AmyJo-san is going on vacation tomorrow and will be gone for about ten days. She'll be flying first to Okinawa to see her mother, who, by the way, is the top American Country singer in Japan, and then they will both be flying, well, I think they both will be flying to Kyoto and Osaka for the rest of AmyJo-san's vacation, where AmyJo-san will be making her debut in the Japanese film ...
AmyJo-san, American Bukkake Queen.
Soooo, Happy Birthday and Happy Vacation to the both of you.

THE GREAT PICKLE BOYCOTT

In honor of our lovely roommate and pal Sandra...
AmyJo, Cori, Belle, and Boz have vowed not to eat any
pickles or pickle products for the month of March.
It will be hard yes- but we are determined to
show the German Pickling Corporations that we
mean business! Will you join us and.....

JUST HOLD THE PICKLE!

In keeping with the music theme...

...introduced by Bozworth....what was the first album/eight-track/cassette/CD that you bought with your own young money?

For me, it was the Beatles---the one with the four faces on the cover. What was that one called? Mono, not stereo. $3.00.

I mean, wow, I expected this thing to last about six weeks, and it's been over thirteen months, and to be perfectly honest with you, this is the best it has ever been. No shit.
I am so proud of this blog, and everyone in it, that if I had tear ducts I'd be crying by now.
That's all I have to say.

Lots of member stuff going on

The good stuff.

1. New job for Drew.
2. AmyJo won a short story competition sponsored by a small literary magazine with a prize of $1,000.00.
3. Cori is trying to work out a book deal for her blog

In the not so good stuff.

A group of us were in the hot tub on Sunday evening and Belle left suddenly only saying that there was an emergency and she had to run. I emailed her later that night, but I still haven't heard anything from her. Let's hope that it is nothing too serious.

yesterday (part deux)

yesterday i...

...sat for two hours to get color added to my tattoo. there's still about another hour worth of work to be done before it's finished.

"did it hurt?" you'll ask me.

to which i might say: "it hurt as much as it hurts when kittens lick your body -- mutant kittens with needles in their tongues."

yesterday

yesterday I:

1 - applied for my california driver's license (and flirted with a pretty girl while doing so)
2 - interviewed for and got a job testing video games (they called and hired me within a 1/2 hour)
3 - resigned from the hospital (and left work early)
4 - Turned over what I had of the current screenplay to my writing partner (let him worry about it)
5 - helped a workaholic ad man learn the true meaning of Christmas (well, not really)

and they still expect me to come to work today? i deserve a vacation
