RLB's Automotive Hygeine Tips, Part 1 of 1

1. Eating in the car -

When eating watermelon and drinking Gatorade in your car during lunch break, it is clever to store the melon rinds inside the empty Gatorade container as depicted in the above photograph.

This is generally preferable to previous solutions such as throwing the rinds out into the parking lot through the car window or tossing them in the back seat.

Feel free to share this tip with your co-workers and/or Martha Stuart.

A Barely Adequate Solution

The IHOP in Orange has this sign posted in the men's room stall:

The text reads:

Please Don't Throw
Paper In Toilet
Thank You

Before I could wonder where I was supposed to throw my toilet paper, I looked down and saw this thoughtfully provided receptacle:

I decided to just not use the toilet at all.

When I returned nearly two months later, the sign and receptacle were still there.

I just thought that's kind of a cheap fix for a business trying to overcome a plumbing problem. Especially in a financially upscale OC community.

Congratulations on your penny pinching, IHOP! Why hire a plumber when you can just ask your patrons to throw their toilet paper in a bucket?

Enjuague Bucal

My mouthwash of the month is Enjuague Bucal from the 99 Cent Store:

It is apparently marketed to Hispanics and carries a "Pharmicist's Preference" label.

The product looks exactly like Listerine and I expected a good burn the first time I used it, but it is very much watered down and not nearly as cleansing as its pricier counterpart.

Not bad for gargling.

Or drinking straight.
