T-Shirt Exchange, Summer '07

Boz's latest shipment was a marvel of packing. In my nearly two years working in a shipping department, I never saw a $4.95 flat rate envelope stuffed half as full as this one was. It really makes you appreciate the value of tape.

The envelope contents covered nearly half of our new red leather couch -

Sandra received a fine Germany World Cup t-shirt and I received a fine Miller Genuiine Draft "Rock & Peace" festival t-shirt which is now what I always wear out to the pool.

But, while most people would think the flat-rate priority envelope was full after stuffing it with 2 t-shirts, Boz did not hesitate to double the contents by including a makeup bag, a deck of cards with $100 bills printed on the back, a small computer mouse, palm tree stickers, 2 toothbrushes which contain flashing red lights, 5 mexican drink mixes (which remind us of our dear Santa Ana), the East Tawas Business Directory, and a handful of Sour Power candy strips (which I am addicted to).

Danke Boz - this was a packing achievement that only somebody who has worked in a shipping department for nearly 2 years can appreciate.

The normally thin priority flat rate envelope would not even fit in our mailbox. It was waiting by the door when we came home. I can't believe it didn't burst.

This was the greatest T-Shirt Exchange ever.

The Greatest Gift Package from Boz (aside from our wedding gift)

It's incredible what Boz can fit into a 6"X6"X2" box.

Long Live Evil Skull

While this is not the most flattering photograph of me, I think we can all agree that the t-shirt is outstanding -

Evil Skull.

The first annual Christmas Clearance T-Shirt Exchange is certainly a success on this end - Danke Boz!

I really wasn't expecting such a high quality shirt. I can't believe anybody would stick that on a clearance rack. I bet it was a mistake. The shirt is appropriate for both me and Sandra as well as Stanley Wood.

In my right hand are assorted Halloween bendies (1 large and small Dracula + 1 large and small Frankenstein monster wearing a purple suit) which were included along with gummie worms (which Boz actually ate before mailing).

In my left hand is a fine selection of contemporary popular music for Sandra since she is MTV deprived. The Electric Six CD is great for driving and has replaced my James Brown CD. Track 12, Germans in Mexico, and track 2, I Buy the Drugs are particularly notable.

I consider the first annual Christmas Clearance T-Shirt Exchange an absolute success, even though Boz has yet to receive his package.

Beyond The Book of Lists 2

I was ill last weekend and didn't have the chance to post the rest of boz's latest parcel. He really went all out and The Book of Lists 2 was just the appetizer.

Also included:

1. A trilogy of discount videos - Bubba Ho-Tep, Beyond the Mat, and The New Kids On The Block Hangin' Tough. A little something for everybody. Beyond the Mat puts the other two to shame though.

2. A handmade punk rock CD carrier filled to bursting with a great selection of burned CDs, most notably an entire punk & new wave box set (retail value - $119.00).

3. A great selection of promotional items from local E. Tawas businesses and an E. Tawas community guide. The promotional items are mainly pens and magnets (which I always have a use for).

I'd also like to add that two of the magnets were easily the largest magnets I've ever seen -

E. Tawas magnets with a can of Grapette for scale.

After thumbing through the E. Tawas community guide, I would theorize the local availability of huge magnets has something to do with the good deer hunting around there. Availability of deer meat suggests a lot of large freezers to store it all and that would mean most households probably have a lot of un-decorated freezer space just begging for a hugeass magnet.

4. My very own authentic and soon-to-be-immortal Detweiler Bros. wrestling t-shirt

5. A PERFECT storage container for my eyepatch. I can't imagine this container being used for anything else -

Piracy Accessory.

6. A selection of men's cologne which will be the subject of a future post/taste test.

Danke Boz!

Two Years - Two Redpops

The two Redpops that Boz sent have been chilling for days and I think today is the day to break them open -

Today is also my & Sandra's 2nd anniversary, so I have one Redpop for each year.

I think next year, boz should send 3 Redpops on our anniversary.

The label is different, but I hope they haven't tampered with the recipe.

Presidential Gift Exchange

My package from Jonnie & Boz's First Annual Presidents Day Gift Exchange has arrived and I can't believe Boz packed all this stuff into one envelope:

First Annual Presidential Gift Exchange loot.

I can now tell you that future RLB DVD reviews will cover Hot Rod Girl, T-Bird Gang, Circus of Fear, and Carnival of Souls.

Probably the most practical item was a selection of four "Religious Pens" from a company called "The Genesis Collection". While the pens' artwork depicts gay scenes of blond angel babies and footwear, their saving grace is the inclusion of a long lanyard at the top; so you can wear the pen around your neck, hang it on a peg in the outhouse, or hang yourself with it.

Religious Pen with lanyard identified.

The four pens come in two varieties, with one set of each style.

The first style is a "Jesus Loves Me" theme which depicts the gay blond angel with moons and stars even though it is daylight since clouds are also visible in the sky scene that makes up the background.

The second style is a "Walk With Jesus" theme which depicts various footprints from bare feet as well as sandles and sneakers in various colors on a sort of purple/fade-to-blue/fade-back-to-purple background.

Also included in the package was a sticker from 0nnyx Tat00z and a magnet from a dentist who goes by the name "Daniel the Filipino".

And, while my keychain used to consist of a simple ring and bottle opener, it now boats a genuine leather Deen Arbor Chevrolet Cadillac of E. Twas panel -

Finally, I'm proud to not be left out of the rock and roll boxers club as Boz has sent me a handsome pair of The Who underwear -
Who are You
Who Who Who Who

The ass says Tommy - 1969 - my actual birth year (and I'm sure Boz knew that when he purchased them). It also depicts Pete Townsend playing guitar while leaping up into the air in the fetal position -

Tommy, can you hear me?

So not only are these Who shorts, they are special commemorative Tommy - 1969 shorts and they ROCK. I want to play pinball in them.

Thank you Boz! I had no idea the Presidential Gift Exchange would be so lavish!
I thought it was just a reason to send Easter stuff sooner!

Who's in on the upcoming May Day gift exchange?

If you want to participate, speak up in the comments.

Brickbats

Yesterday I unexpectedly received a 2 CD set of Boz's Brickbats: A Compilation of Humorous, Satirical, and Novelty Songs, Vols. I&II in the mail:

Shaving Cream - Be Nice and Clean...

The gift was unexpected because it was given out as a prize for the winner of Boz's recent "Boz's Choice" contest. I actually achieved the lowest score on that quiz, correctly answering 4 out of 15 questions. My more observant half, Sandralein, won the contest however and secretly arranged to have the CDs sent to me instead of all the way to Germany.

So thank you, Liebling; and thank you, Boz!!

I'm still absorbing the impact of the 55 track collection, but I think the immortal "Shaving Cream" is my favorite. That and Screamin' Jay Hawkin's outstanding "Constipation Blues".
